Truth is PPTP may be missed by those who like to use it for speed purposes, as it is indeed the faster one. This can be seen as a required step that, sooner or later, had to be taken towards a safer future since the newer versions of Apple software will discard any unsafe measures and will not allow purely fast protocols.
